National Brands Development, Made in Nigeria Project Office Unveils Second Quarter International Expo and Exhibition Programme for 2026

The National Brands Development, Made in Nigeria Project Office, under The Presidency, has unveiled its Second Quarter International Expo and Exhibition Programme for 2026, setting out an ambitious calendar of international engagements aimed at promoting Nigerian products, strengthening economic diplomacy, expanding export markets, and attracting foreign investment.

The programme reflects the Office's commitment to advancing the Nigeria First Policy by providing Nigerian manufacturers, exporters, entrepreneurs, and investors with access to strategic global platforms where they can showcase the country's products, services, investment opportunities, and creative potential.

Spanning Europe and Asia, the scheduled events will position Nigeria before international investors, policymakers, buyers, and development partners while reinforcing the country's reputation as one of Africa's leading destinations for business and trade.

Nigeria-Spain Economic Forum Opens International Calendar

One of the flagship events is the Nigeria-Spain Economic Forum, scheduled to take place in Barcelona, Spain, from August 18–27, 2026.

The forum will serve as a high-level platform for promoting bilateral trade, investment partnerships, technology transfer, manufacturing collaboration, tourism, and business-to-business engagements between Nigerian and Spanish companies.

A combined main forum, scheduled for August 19–22, will bring together government officials, investors, chambers of commerce, manufacturers, exporters, and industry leaders to explore new opportunities across agriculture, renewable energy, infrastructure, digital technology, healthcare, manufacturing, and the creative economy.

The event is expected to strengthen commercial ties between Nigeria and Spain while creating new export opportunities for Made-in-Nigeria products.

Nigeria to Participate in Commonwealth Games Fair

The Office will also participate in the Commonwealth Games Fair, taking place in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom, from July 23 to August 2, 2026.

The exhibition will provide Nigerian businesses and cultural organizations with an opportunity to showcase locally manufactured products, tourism destinations, cultural heritage, and investment opportunities before a global audience attending one of the world's largest international sporting events.

Participation is expected to enhance Nigeria's global visibility while promoting indigenous brands to consumers, distributors, and investors from across the Commonwealth.

International Seafood Expo in Singapore

Recognizing the growing importance of the blue economy, the Made in Nigeria Project Office will participate in the International Seafood Expo in Singapore from September 4–5, 2026.

The event will highlight Nigeria's fisheries, aquaculture industry, seafood processing capabilities, and export potential.

By engaging international seafood buyers and industry stakeholders, Nigeria aims to expand exports of marine products while encouraging investment in sustainable fisheries, cold-chain infrastructure, and value-added seafood processing.

Asia-Africa Summit to Promote Strategic Partnerships

Nigeria is also scheduled to participate in the Asia-Africa Summit in Beijing, China, from November 5–10, 2026.

The summit will provide an important platform for strengthening economic cooperation between African and Asian countries through investment dialogue, industrial collaboration, infrastructure partnerships, technology exchange, and trade promotion.

The event aligns with Nigeria's broader strategy of diversifying export markets and attracting long-term investment into priority sectors of the economy.

Climate and Green Economy Focus in Türkiye

The programme concludes with Nigeria's participation in the World Climate Change Summit – The Green Area Expo, to be held in Istanbul, Türkiye, from November 9–21, 2026.

The summit will focus on climate resilience, environmental sustainability, renewable energy, green technologies, and sustainable industrial development.

Nigeria's participation reflects its commitment to promoting environmentally responsible economic growth while showcasing opportunities in renewable energy, climate-smart agriculture, waste management, and green manufacturing.

Advancing the Made-in-Nigeria Agenda

The international exhibition programme supports the National Brands Development, Made in Nigeria Project Office's broader mission of transforming Nigeria into a globally recognized production and export-driven economy.

Through participation in international expos and economic forums, the Office aims to:

  • Promote Made-in-Nigeria products in international markets.

  • Attract foreign direct investment into priority sectors.

  • Strengthen trade and economic diplomacy.

  • Expand export opportunities for Nigerian businesses.

  • Encourage industrialisation and local manufacturing.

  • Showcase Nigeria's cultural and tourism potential.

  • Facilitate business partnerships between Nigerian and international companies.

These engagements complement the Federal Government's ongoing efforts to diversify the economy, increase non-oil exports, and strengthen Nigeria's position within global value chains.

Outlook

The Second Quarter International Expo and Exhibition Programme for 2026 demonstrates the National Brands Development, Made in Nigeria Project Office's proactive approach to promoting Nigeria's economic interests on the global stage.

From the Nigeria-Spain Economic Forum and the Commonwealth Games Fair to the International Seafood Expo, Asia-Africa Summit, and World Climate Change Summit, the programme provides valuable opportunities to showcase Nigerian innovation, products, culture, and investment potential before international audiences.

As Nigeria continues to pursue export-led growth and industrial transformation, these global engagements are expected to strengthen international partnerships, open new markets for Nigerian businesses, and reinforce the country's ambition to become a leading hub for manufacturing, trade, and investment in Africa.
