The World Economic and Investment Forum (WEIFORUM) is bringing its Asia Edition to Deqing, China, in 2027, and the agenda is already shaping up to be one of the most intriguing in years.

Sandwiched between the forum’s high-level branding and its Chinese host city lies a specific, telling detail: the National Brand Development and Made in Nigeria Project Office in Abuja.

That’s not a passive mention. It’s a statement.

For years, "Made in Nigeria" has been more aspiration than reality, hampered by infrastructure gaps, currency volatility, and global perception issues. But anchoring that national project directly under the umbrella of a major Asian investment forum suggests a strategic shift. Nigeria isn't just looking for aid or oil deals anymore.
