Organizational Profile

The National Brands Development and Made in Nigeria Project Office (MAiNPro) is a flagship national development initiative operating under the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), Abuja, Nigeria.

Established to support Nigeria's economic transformation agenda, MAiNPro serves as a strategic platform for promoting local production, strengthening national brands, stimulating industrial growth, and positioning Nigerian products and services for greater competitiveness in domestic and international markets.

The initiative is driven by a vision of transforming Nigeria from a consumption-oriented economy into a production-led nation powered by manufacturing, innovation, value addition, and globally recognized Nigerian brands.

Guided by the principles of the Nigeria First Policy and the Proudly Made in Nigeria campaign, MAiNPro is committed to promoting economic self-reliance, supporting local industries, creating employment opportunities, and increasing the contribution of productive sectors to national development.

Our Mandate

MAiNPro is mandated to promote and strengthen Nigerian brands, products, goods, and services while supporting local manufacturing and industrial development. The office facilitates market access for Nigerian producers and exporters, encourages patronage of Made-in-Nigeria products, strengthens quality assurance and product standardization, and connects local businesses with investors, development partners, and global markets.

As a strategic bridge between government, industry, investors, and development institutions, MAiNPro plays a critical role in building a productive and globally competitive Nigerian economy.

Water Resource Development is also one of the office's core mandates, recognizing the critical role water plays in agriculture, health, industrialization, and food security.

Core Objectives (2025–2030)

Turning the Population into a Production Nation

Industrialize Nigeria

Revive dormant industries and manufacturing facilities across the country while promoting the establishment of national production clusters to increase industrial output, create jobs, and reduce dependence on imports.

Quality Control and Brand Nigeria

Develop and implement a standardized national branding and labeling framework that enhances consumer confidence, combats counterfeit products, and strengthens the reputation of Nigerian-made goods and services.

Market Access and Product Standardization

Organize national expos, trade fairs, investment forums, and economic development platforms that connect Nigerian manufacturers, producers, exporters, investors, and international buyers.

National Brands, Products, Goods and Services

Drive economic growth through strategic promotion, partnerships, and patronage initiatives aimed at mobilizing over ₦50 billion into the national economy within five years.

Water Resource Development

Promote sustainable water resource management, water infrastructure development, and water-sector partnerships as critical foundations for health, agriculture, industrialization, and food security.

Strategic Focus Areas (2025–2030)

To achieve its mandate, MAiNPro will partner with state governments and private-sector stakeholders to establish specialized production clusters in key sectors including agro-processing, textiles and apparel, solid minerals beneficiation, leather processing, and light manufacturing.

The office will roll out a unified Made-in-Nigeria Certification Mark featuring secure and tamper-proof labeling systems designed to protect consumers and strengthen confidence in Nigerian products.

MAiNPro will also host bi-annual National Brands Expos in Abuja and Lagos, creating opportunities for product exhibitions, business matchmaking, export promotion, investment engagement, and international trade partnerships.

In addition, the office will provide technical assistance and advisory services to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) seeking compliance with local and international quality standards, including requirements established by SON, NAFDAC, and ISO certification frameworks.
