Nigeria Launches $9 Million Digital Economy Research Cluster to Boost Innovation

The Nigerian Government has unveiled a $9 million digital economy research cluster aimed at driving innovation and strengthening academic research in the country. The initiative is part of Project BRIDGE (Building Resilient Digital Infrastructure for Growth) and is backed by the World Bank.

Minister Bosun Tijani highlighted that the program will support university-led research across key sectors, fostering homegrown solutions that can propel Nigeria’s digital economy forward.
