The Made in Nigeria Project Office has officially signed a five-year hosting agreement with the Deqing City Authority, China, to host the prestigious Asia-Africa Summit, scheduled for 15th – 17th October, 2026. This landmark agreement positions Nigeria at the forefront of fostering economic diplomacy, industrial collaboration, and trade partnerships between Asia and Africa.

The summit is set to become a key platform for business leaders, policymakers, and investors across Asia and Africa to explore opportunities in trade, manufacturing, technology, and sustainable development. By securing the hosting rights, the Made in Nigeria Project Office underscores its commitment to promoting Nigerian brands, products, and innovations on a global stage, in line with its mission to transform Nigeria into a production-oriented, industrialized economy.

Speaking on the agreement, the Project Office emphasized that the summit will serve as a strategic hub for investment facilitation, knowledge exchange, and business matchmaking. Nigerian enterprises will have the opportunity to showcase their products, attract foreign direct investment (FDI), and expand their reach into international markets.

This partnership with Deqing City, China, marks a significant milestone in Nigeria’s economic diplomacy and the broader “Nigeria First Policy”, aimed at increasing the visibility, competitiveness, and consumption of Made-in-Nigeria goods across the world.

The 2026 Asia-Africa Summit promises to be a transformative event, strengthening Nigeria’s global trade presence, boosting industrial growth, and fostering sustainable collaborations between Asian and African economies over the next five years.
