Buchi George Nwabueze, born on August 27, 1974, to Chief Nathan and Mrs. Ann Nwaneri Nwabueze of Uruala, Ideato North Local Government Area, Imo State, is a distinguished entrepreneur and a globally recognized leader in international trade, business development, and economic growth.
He currently serves as the National Coordinator and Executive Director of the Made in Nigeria Project Office in Abuja, and is the Founder of the Globe Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Through these roles, he has significantly impacted the global trade landscape, spearheading initiatives that drive economic growth and development across multiple sectors.
Buchi George holds an impressive array of qualifications, including a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), a Master of Laws (LLM), a Master of Business Administration (MBA), and certifications in Finance, Management, Administration, and Economics (FME). He is also a Justice of the Peace (JP).
In addition to his work with the Made in Nigeria Project, he has held pivotal roles such as Senior Special Adviser on Foreign Trade, Bilateral Trade Partnership, Inward Investment, and Economic Affairs, and Executive Assistant on Lands and Housing. He is also an active education reform advocate and a passionate supporter of child education.
Buchi George is the President of FOWCOM Limited, a company specializing in real estate, facility management, asset management, construction, and infrastructure development. He also serves as the Executive Director of the Globe Economic and Trade Development Council.
As the Founder and First President of the Globe Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Chairman of its Executive Council, he has played a key role in advancing international trade policies and promoting multilateral economic cooperation. His leadership extends to the World Economic and Investment Forum (WEIFORUM), where he is an influential advocate for global economic partnerships and foreign direct investment (FDI). He has also been a driving force behind significant international expos and conferences, including the World Railway Expo, World Textile Expo, World Export Conference, and many others, which aim to foster economic growth and bilateral cooperation.
Buchi George is also the Founder and CEO of the Transnational Trade and Commerce Centre, which focuses on economic cooperation, business development, and investment forums. His commitment to facilitating bilateral economic partnerships and supporting industrial and infrastructural development is evident in his work with Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) and foreign trade negotiations.
A staunch believer in the power of shelter for humanity, Buchi advocates for mass housing projects, properties, and real estate development to address global housing needs. His vision encompasses promoting economic diplomacy, supporting the organized private sector, and implementing strategies to increase FDI and trade development across nations.
